Appeal Process Information
 

The following information has been provided to vendors as a courtesy.  The Purchasing Division and the Hearings Division may not render any advice with regard to the appeal process; vendors are advised to refer to the statute referenced below for further instructions on filing a notice of appeal.   

Pursuant to NRS §333.370, an individual or company who makes an unsuccessful bid or proposal may file a notice of appeal with the Purchasing Division and Hearings Division of the Department of Administration, this notice must be filed within the timeframe identified in your Notification of Award letter.  A bond or other approved security equal to 25% of the total value of the contract, issued by a company authorized to do business in the State of Nevada, must accompany the notice of appeal submitted to the Purchasing Division.

Surety Bond Requirements
 

A company issuing a surety bond submitted to the State of Nevada must:

Be an A.M. Best A-VII rated insurance company

Be certified by the Department of Treasury, Financial Management Services for Nevada

Be licensed by the Nevada Department of Business and Industry, Insurance Division

Appeal Bond Form

Other Approved Forms of Security

Certified Check, made payable to the State of Nevada

Cashier’s Check, made payable to the State of Nevada
