These instructions are only intended as a help aide for those users who have Windows 95, 98, operating systems. They might not be exact, as to the specific operating system you have, but should assist in guiding you in the right direction to ultimately get the bid downloaded and useable.
1. Determine what folder you are going to put your new bid in after it is downloaded. Create new folder if necessary.
Suggestion: C:\windows\_______ (name that you choose)
2. Click on bid number in first column (EXE format). When "File Download" window opens, click on "Save this program to disk", and "OK"
3. When "Save As" window opens, save file in C:/Temp and click "Save". Be sure "Save as type" says "Application."
4. When "Download Complete" window comes up, it should say "Download Complete." Click "Close" button.
5. Open Windows Explorer, find file in c:/Temp files. Click on Icon (yellow block with man running) with .exe extension. When window PKSFX C:\windows\temp\ XXXX (number of bid) opens, click on "Extract". It will extract to your temp folder.
6. In Explorer, go down to C:\Windows and click on cross (+) to expand and make it a minus (-). Go down to Temp folder and click on bid number to open it. The bid number should appear there as a word document with a .doc extension. Double click to open it. When it is open, click File on tool bar, Save As, and then rename it and file it in your folder you created for this bid.
